This is a well built motherboad by Comaro and what I think is a masterpeice for 1995.I am up grading the motherboad slowly bit by bit does anyone know were I can pick up some spair ram slots holders for the board.
![]() You would be better off using XP, even if support for it is ending in a year. The board isnt made by Camaro, its an HPCompaq board made by Mitac. It is NOT from 1995, its no older than 1998 (probably newer). You should be able to run XP on it but its not going to run well. And being that its an old board, it wont support a large HDD plus the IDE interface will only run at ATA33 or possibly ATA66 unless you install a PCI IDE controller card. If you think you can handle Linux, try an older version of Puppy. You are beating a dead horse, and one that was never a Thoroughbred. First of all there may not be space on the board but more importantly, there are 4 layers of circuits on the board that are built up one by one. The BIOS on that board is 28 bit LBA compliant, which means you cant use any hard drive larger than 137GB. If you want to do something with that board than I suggest you run Win98se or Linux.
